Dougher Draws AEC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week Award
Lancaster, Pa. – (10/26/2022) – Senior Kristen Dougher (Saylorsburg, Pa.) finished 10th at the Penn State Brandywine Invitational with a time of 26:41.3. The performance helped the Griffins place third out of four teams (3rd of 4, 53 points) in the women’s standings and earned her the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award.
Behind Dougher, Gwynedd Mercy University also offered finishes from senior Alicia Bennett (Philadelphia, Pa.) (11th, 26:41.4), senior Keely Greene (12th, 26:42.9), sophomore Hailey Bloom (14th, 27:23.2), junior Shylynn Cordero (Allentown, Pa.) (26th, 32:11.0), freshman Vanessa Vavrova (Lansdale, Pa.) (27th, 32:11.0), and sophomore Mikayla Brennan (Bensalem, Pa.) (33rd, 38:58.3).
Gwynedd Mercy University competes next on Saturday, October 29, when they visit Marymount University for the 2022 AEC Cross Country Championship Meet.
