As the AEC Women's Track Athlete of the Year, McShea scored a meet-high 51.5 points while earning All-AEC First Team honors in the 400-Meter Hurdles (1st, 1:08.65) and the Heptathlon (1st, 2,891.0), and All-AEC Second Team honors in the 400-Meter (2nd, 1:04.07) and 4x400-Meter Relay (2nd, 4:31.71). Her times in the 400-Meter Hurdles and Heptathlon were recorded as conference meet records. This past fall, she also garnered All-AEC Women's Cross Country Second Team honors with an 11th-place (27:50.6) finish at the 2021 AEC Women's Cross Country Championship Meet (Oct. 30). McShea was the 2019 AEC Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Year after earning All-AEC First Team honors in the 400-Meter Hurdles (1st, 1:09.25). She followed that performance with 2021 All-AEC First Team honors in the 100-Meter Hurdles (1st, 17.23), 400-Meter Hurdles (1:09.41), Pentathlon (1,937 points), and High Jump (1st, 1.4 meters), while also earning All-AEC Second Team honors in the Long Jump (2nd, 4.76). Like Jani and Brasier, the 3.8 GPA nursing major will be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma and honored as a four-time AEC All-Academic Team member later this month.
