Livingstone Complete-Game Victory versus Cyclones Scores AEC Baseball Weekly Roll Recognition
 
Lancaster, Pa. – (4/18/2022) – Junior Trey Livingstone (Pennsburg, Pa.) earned an appearance on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Weekly Honor Roll with a complete-game victory in the Griffins’ 8-2 win versus Centenary University (Apr. 11). Livingstone earned the win (2-2) in first game of the league twin bill, allowing two unearned runs on seven hits and a walk, while striking out six.
 
With the sun shining and the temperature above 55 degrees, Gwynedd Mercy University (12-15, 5-5) was eager to take the field for Monday's AEC doubleheader with Centenary University. The Griffins atoned for their April-8 loss to the Cyclones with a pair of victories. In the opener, Livingstone’s victory was the perfect complement to an eight-run effort from the Gwynedd Mercy University lineup. The Griffins broke from an early 2-2 tie with a four-run fifth inning that included the first collegiate home run for senior designated hitter Billy Collins (Hatfield, Pa.); 6-2. Collins also squeezed in a run in the seventh inning, 7-2, before a two-out single from senior shortstop Rob Bailey (Abington, Pa.) plated the final run of the affair; 8-2.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their AEC schedule today, Monday, April 18, with a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader versus Neumann University.
