Gaston Recognized on AEC Women’s Volleyball Honor Roll for Play at Cedar Crest College Tri-Match

Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll of the 2025 season. The AEC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week award went to junior middle blocker Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa.), while the AEC Women's Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week honor went to junior defensive specialist Ava Humphries (Charlotte, N.C.). Gaston was joined on the AEC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll by Marywood University freshman setter Ayla Bransford (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Marymount University freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist Hailey LaBonte (Portsmouth, R.I.), Pratt Institute junior middle hitter Colleen Russell (Asbury, N.J.), Saint Elizabeth University sophomore outside hitter Marissa Heimbaugh (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (2-0) opened their 2025 campaign - and first under Head Coach Amber Medycki - with a pair of sweeps at the Cedar Crest College Tri-Match; the Griffins first defeated DVU by a 3-0 measure with set-wins of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-23, then set their sights on the hosts as set-scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-22 defeated the Falcons by 3-0 as well. Gaston was impressive in both victories as she totaled 10.0 points (3 kills, 6 aces, 2 block assists), 19 assists, and five digs against Delaware Valley University (DVU) (0-1), then offered one kills, 35 assists, five aces, two solo blocks, and 11 digs to the triumph over Cedar Crest College (0-2). She finished the week with 18.0 points, 54 assists, and 16 digs.
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their schedule on Wednesday, September 3, when they host York College (PA) for a 6:00 p.m. home opener.
