Cruz and Scheitrum Score AEC Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll
Lancaster, Pa. – (3/26/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University senior Victor Cruz (New Castle, Del.) and freshman Tyson Scheitrum (Harrisburg, Pa.) were recent selections to the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll for their performances at the Stockton University Invitational. Cruz placed second in the 200-Meter (2nd, 22.19) and third in the 100-Meter (3rd, 10.84), while Scheitrum headlined the Red and Gold's success in the field events with his performances in the Discus (9th, 37.33), Shot Put (23rd, 10.50), and Hammer (12th, 30.30); the last serves as a program record.
Marywood University seniors Jack Baronski (Peckville, Pa.) and Will Kalinich (Scranton, Pa.) swept the first round of AEC Weekly Awards with respective selections as the AEC Men’s Track Athlete and Field Athlete of the Week.
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams return to Stockton University next Saturday, March 29, when they compete in the Osprey Open.
