Eisenhart Ends Season with AEC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll Mention

Lancaster, Pa. – (2/24/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University junior forward Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) finished the season strong as the Griffin captain provided 28 points, 17 rebounds, an assist, and two steals in a pair of league losses to Centenary University (L, 74-78 on Feb. 18) and Neumann University (L, 55-64 on Feb. 21). Her effort earned her third Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll appearance of the season.

Centenary University (N.J.) senior guard Brie Opdyke (Belvidere, N.J.) was named the AEC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while the AEC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors went to Neumann University senior forward Emily DuPont (Malvern, Pa.). Eisenhart was joined on the AEC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University junior guard Lindsay Holden (Cape May, N.J.), as well as Immaculata University junior guard Riley Cassidy (Ocean City, N.J.) and freshman forward Carly Coleman (Springfield, Pa.).

Centenary University (15-10, 4-6) gradually grew their first-half lead to 20 points, 46-26 (2:43) in Tuesday night’s contest. Determined to catch the Cyclones, Gwynedd Mercy University (5-19, 1-9) came out motivated in the third quarter and dominated the frame by a 17-8 margin; 56-49 (0:15). Unfortunately, the Griffins fell just short of an impressive comeback as Centenary University escaped with a 78-74 win. Eisenhart and sophomore guard Alyssa Cresto (Newark, Del.) led the way with 21 points apiece; the former played all but two minutes in the contest (38 minutes) and additionally recorded nine rebounds and an assist.

Gwynedd Mercy University hosted Neumann University (15-9, 6-4 AEC) for the final game of the 2024-2025 season. Prior to the contest, the Red and Gold honored senior forward captain Alexis Eagan (Drexel Hill, Pa.) for her contributions to the women's basketball team and wished her well in her future endeavors. After a strong first half, the Griffins walked into the locker room with a one-point lead; 27-26. Unfortunately, things did not go their way in the third quarter as the Knights scored 26 points in the quarter to propel them to an eventual 64-55 win. Eisenhart totaled seven points, eight rebounds, and two steals.

Gwynedd Mercy University finished the 2024-2025 season with a 5-19 overall record and a 1-9 AEC standing.
