Bramsway Earns AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Mitchell Bramsway (Temecula, Calif.) was named to the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Weekly Honor Roll with two solid relief outings during the Griffins’ opening week. Bramsway (4.2 IP, 4H, 4R, 0ER,
2BB, 11K) held Clarks Summit University (0-3) and Dominican University (Ill.) (2-4) to four unearned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out 11 in just 4.2 innings of work; he collected the win (1-0) against the latter.
Bramsway pitched the last inning of the Griffins’ 19-5 victory over Clarks Summit University (Mar. 2) and the final 3.2 innings of a 5-3 RussMatt Central Florida Invitational victory over Dominican University (Ill.) (Mar. 5). Versus Clarks Summit University, Bramsway (1.0 IP, H, 3R 0ER, BB, K) struck out five Defenders, but surrendered three unearned runs due to a one-out double, a couple dropped third strikes, a couple errors, a passed ball, and a walk. Three days later, Bramsway (3.2 IP, 3H, 1R, 0ER, BB, 6K) collected the win in the Griffins’ 5-3 victory over Dominican College. After the Griffins surrendered the tying run in the top of the sixth inning, Head Coach Joe Brooks went to his trusted bullpen arm for the final 11 outs of the affair. Bramsway allowed an unearned run on a walk and three hits while striking out six Stars.
Gwynedd Mercy University continues their stay at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational today, Monday, March 6 with a 9:00 a.m. contest versus Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
