Down one at half, 48-47, Gwynedd Mercy University (8-7, 2-0) flipped the defensive switch in the latter frame, forcing 10 turnovers and holding Marywood University (6-9, 0-3) to a 8-of-23 (.348) shooting performance left the Pacers chasing the Griffins’ tail.
Clark was 14-of-19 (.737) from the floor while keeping Marywood University off balance with five rebounds, an assist, and five steals. He headlined the high scoring first half with a 5-of-6 (.833) effort from the field and 2-of-2 (1.000) clip from the free throw line. The second half saw Clark add 25 more points and make four steals in a dizzying defensive effort that resulted in the Griffins’ 48-34 run to victory.
