Lancaster, Pa. - (10/25/2021) - With a goal in both of Gwynedd Mercy University's league contests, senior attack Lauren Jani (Coppersburg, Pa.) earned recognition on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Weekly Honor Roll. The Griffins' lead scorer first scored the second Gwynedd Mercy University goal of a 2-0 victory over Neumann University on October 20, before recording the only Griffin goal of a 2-1 loss at Cabrini University on October 23. She totaled seven shots in all and brought her season goal total to a team-high six.

A pair of second-quarter goals gave Gwynedd Mercy University (5-11, 3-2) the victory in Wednesday night's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) contest as tallies from freshman attack Cheyenne Avellino (Egg Harbor, N.J.) (20:48) and Jani (28:05) were the difference versus Neumann University (2-12, 0-4).

Saturday's league contest brought Gwynedd Mercy University to Radnor, Pennsylvania, for an afternoon affair with Cabrini University (9-6, 4-0). The Griffins took a 1-0 advantage at 26:28, when junior defender Alexis Schambers (West Chester, Pa.) found Jani for her sixth goal of the season. Gwynedd Mercy University took their 1-0 lead to intermission, but afterwards the Cavaliers' shooting advantage took its toll as Cabrini University goals at 35:17 and 45:10 sent the home team to a 2-1 victory.
