Lancaster, Pa. – (3/23/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore pitcher
Dylan Ganey (Langhorne, Pa.) was included on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Weekly Honor Roll after holding the Red and Gold's opponent's scoreless over 5.2 inning of relief. Ganey worked 1.2 innings of scoreless relief in the middle of a 12-2 win over Lancaster Bible College (Mar. 18) and earned the win (2-1) with 4.0 more scoreless innings out bullpen in the Griffins' 8-4, game-two win over league rival, Neumann University (Mar. 21).
Ganey was joined on the AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University junior infielder Anthony Rakotz (Vineland, N.J.), Marymount University graduate first baseman
Anthony Farmakides (Fall Church, Va.) and freshman pitcher Colin Buckley (Great Falls, Va.), as well as Saint Elizabeth University sophomore first baseman/pitcher Cameron Vicari (Wayne, N.J.) and senior pitcher Aidan Folsom (Beachwood, N.J.). The AEC Baseball Player of the Week was Centenary University (N.J.) junior outfielder Joseph Frei (Hawthorne, N.J.), while the AEC Baseball Pitcher of the Week went to Marywood University sophomore Noah Trager (Schnecksville, Pa.).
Gwynedd Mercy University was lock-in at the play and chased few pitches in Wednesday's 10-run win over the Chargers. Junior pitcher
Patrick Talley (Collingswood, N.J.) had his best start in his collegiate career as he allowed an unearned run on three hits and struck out three over a career-best six innings (6.0 IP). Freshman outfielder
Charlie Neal (Mickelton, N.J.) was a dominant force at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two walks and three runs-batted-in (RBI). In relief of Talley, senior
Zachary Freas (Mickleton, N.J.) and Ganey did the job; the latter shutdown any thoughts of a rally with five straight outs to conclude the game.
In the second game of the home doubleheader with Neumann University, Ganey was lights out in relief of sophomore pitcher
Connor Hafto (Washington Township, N.J.). He pitched four very important innings in a tight 3-2 contest as he earned the win with six strikeouts over 12 scoreless outs. Ganey scattered three hits and three walks over the four frames.
Gwynedd Mercy University breaks from AEC play on Tuesday, March 24, when they visit Salisbury University for 3:30 p.m. first pitch.
