2026 CSC NCAA DIII Baseball Academic All-District Team: Connor Hafto, Dylan Ganey, Michael Inglisa, Noah Waldron, Karl Wissmann
Greenwood, Ind. – (6/2/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore pitchers Connor Hafto (Washington Township, N.J.) and Dylan Ganey (Langhorne, Pa.), as well as a trio of juniors; pitcher Michael Inglisa (Delran, N.J.), outfielder Noah Waldron (Collingswood, N.J.), and outfield/first baseman Karl Wissmann (Cinnaminson, N.J.) were recognized as some of the Nation's top student-athletes with their selection to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Baseball Academic All-District Team (.PDF). The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the Nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and maintained at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) while competing in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's contests.
 
Hafto (11 games played – 11 games started) earned D3Baseball.com All-Region 5 Third Team recognition after his 2026 All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Second Team selection. As the staff ace, he was vital to the Griffins' success; Hafto went 5-2 on a 2.73 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. Over 62.2 innings of work, he allowed 19 earned runs on 62 hits and 16 walks. Hafto threw one wild pitch, hit 13 batsmen, walked 16, and struck out 45 while holding opponents to a .259 batting average. He was named to the AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on April 20 after an 8.1-inning gem in the Griffins' 3-2 win over Marymount University (Apr. 17); Hafto scattered four hits and three walks over 25 outs as he induced the Saints into 15 groundouts while carrying a shutout into the ninth inning.
 
Academically, the exercise science major is a two-time member of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite (Spring 2025, Fall 2025) and he was named to the 2024-2025 AEC All-Academic Team.

Ganey (14gp-5gs) was one of Gwynedd Mercy University's most frequently used pitchers as he logged 37.2 innings over 14 appearances (5 starts). At season's end, he owned a 4-3 record and earned his first save with three innings of scoreless relief in a 5-2 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University (Feb. 21). Ganey posted a 6.21 ERA and held opponents to a .329 batting average while hitting three batters, walking 23, and striking out 22. He was named to the AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on March 23 after holding Lancaster Bible College (Mar. 18) and Neumann University (Mar. 21) scoreless over 5.2 inning of relief.
 
Like Hafto, the sports management major is a two-time member of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite (Spring 2025, Fall 2025) and he was named to the 2024-2025 AEC All-Academic Team.
 
Despite suffering a mid-season injury, Inglisa finished the year with a 2-3 record and a 4.30 ERA over 37.2 innings pitched. He limited his opponents to 18 earned runs on 41 hits and 17 walks. He hit three batters and struck out 32. Inglisa was named to the AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll on March 9 after picking up his second win of the season versus the Rams; he struck out four over six innings while holding them to an unearned run on five hits and a walk.
 
The business management major was a 2025 CSC NCAA DIII Baseball Academic All-District performer and he also earned recognition on the 2024-2025 Eastern Athletic Communications Association (EAST-COMM) Spring Academic Honor Roll. Inglisa is a four-time member of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite (Spring 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025) and a two-time member of the AEC All-Academic Team (2023-2024, 2024-2025).
 
A transfer from Alvernia University, Waldron (39gp-38gs) was plug-and-play as the Griffins' everyday center fielder. He made an immediate impact on the line-up with a .250 (37-for-148)/.358/.392 (AVG/OB%/SLG%) slash line that scored a team-high 35 runs and knocked in 26. In addition to his runs, Waldron also led the Red and Gold in triples (1st, 4) and homeruns (1st, 2); he ranked second in hits (2nd, 37), doubles (2nd, 7), total bases (2nd, 58), and steals (2nd, 8). Waldron was named the AEC Baseball Player of the Week on March 9 after nearly hitting for the cycle in a 16-2, seven-inning win over Suffolk University (Mar. 6). The Red and Gold leadoff man scored four times and knocked in five runs in that performance, then went 1-for-3 with a run-batted-in (RBI) in a 5-4 loss to Clark University (Mar. 7).
 
The sports management major was recognized on the Fall 2025, Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite.
 
Wissmann (33gp-28gs) was a welcomed addition to the Griffin lineup and defense as the Immaculata University transfer from earned starts in the outfield and at first base with a consistent glove and a .340 (36-for-106)/.440/.396 slash line that produced 22 runs and 24 RBI. He was hit twice, drew 17 walks, and struck out 16 times over 106 at-bats.
 
Like Waldron, the digital communications major was recognized on the Fall 2025, Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite.
 
The Academic All-America program is conducted by the members of the CSC and separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, Second, and Third Team Academic All-America honorees for baseball will be announced on June 16, 2026.
