Lucas Rollins to Associate Head Coach," announced Gwynedd Mercy University Head Baseball Coach
Joe Brooks. "Lucas has been instrumental in the growth of our program. While he has done an outstanding job with the development of our pitching staff, his impact on our program extends far beyond the mound. He has established himself as a tremendous coach, recruiter, and mentor who is deeply loyal to our program and fully committed to the development of our student-athletes, both on and off of the field." Coach Rollins joined the Gwynedd Mercy University baseball coaching staff as an assistant prior to the 2023 season. He previously worked side-by-side with Coach Brooks at Immaculata University during the Mighty Macs' 2022 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Championship season. Under his direction, the Immaculata University pitching staff established a program record in wins (29). He also worked with the Mighty Mac outfielders.

"I am excited to continue developing our student-athletes, supporting the program in every way I can, and helping it reach new heights." Ebling garnered his all-region accolades following a season – 6-4, 2.42 earned run average (ERA), and a 53/14 strikeout/walk ratio (K/BB) over 74.1 innings - that saw him secure All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) First Team and the 2024 AEC Pitcher of the Year title. Meanwhile, Root returned to the D3Baseball.com Third Team in 2025 as a crowning achievement to a career that included three All-AEC selections (1
st Team: 2024, 2025/2
nd Team: 2023).
Most recently,
Conor Hafto was named to the 2026 D3Baseball.com All-Region 5 Third Team following an All-AEC Second Team season with a 5-2 record, a 2.73 ERA, and a 45/16 K/BB over 62.2 innings. Under Coach Rollins tutelage, many Griffins enjoyed a vast improvement in their performance including 2025 All-AEC Second Team selection

In 2026, Coach Rollins helped direct Gwynedd Mercy University to 22 wins, the Griffins' first 20-win season since 2019 when they captured the inaugural AEC Baseball Championship. The 22-win total was also a nine-game improvement from the 13-25 finish in 2025. A team ERA of 4.81 was the lowest since 2013 (3.78).
Rollins played collegiately at National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, Saint Joseph's University (2015-2021). There, he led the conference and ranked ninth nationally in strikeout per walk (K/BB) ratio (7.1) during a 2016 season that earned him the Saint Joseph's University Baseball Co-Rookie of the Year award and a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. In 2017, his 5.0 K/BB ranked 44th in the country. During his career, Rollins was a three-time Philadelphia Big 5 Pitcher of the Week. Academically, Rollins was named to the 2020 Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Saint Joseph's University Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Rollins graduated from Saint Joseph's University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He earned a master's in organizational development and leadership from the University in 2021.
