Samantha Soscia was named the Gwynedd Mercy Player of the Week for the week ending September 13th. Soscia adds to her honors this week as she was named the CSAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week. In Saturday's game with FDU-Madison, the sophomore goalie helped the Griffins to their first win of the season, making six saves in a 3-0 win for her first career shutout.
