2026 Gwynedd Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Season Wrap-Up
Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (6/1/2026) – All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Lacrosse Second Team selections for sophomore defender Deshe Dunlap (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior defender Teagan O'Neill (Pennsauken, N.J.) were the silver lining to a 2-13 (1-4 AEC) season that saw Gwynedd mercy University claim victories at King's College (Pa.) (W, 17-7 on Mar. 18) and league rival, Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 16-4 on Mar. 28). During the campaign, the Red and Gold midfield complemented their play well as senior transfer Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa./Bryn Athyn College) (68 points; 47 goals, 21 assists), junior Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J. (47; 30, 17), and sophomore Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) (39; 27, 12) finished as the team's top-three point producers.

Gwynedd Mercy University opened the 2026 with six of their first seven games on the road as the Griffins broke up two three-game road trips with a home loss to Elizabethtown College (L, 10-25 on Mar. 4) and ended it with a 17-7 triumph over King's College (Pa.) (Mar. 18). In between came losses to DeSales University (L, 7-20 on Feb 21), Wilkes University (L, 6-10 on Feb 26), Arcadia University (L, 5-18 on Feb 28), Eastern University (L, 10-11 on Mar. 6), and Albright College (L, 5-21 on Mar. 11). The Red and Gold's first win of the season was willed by the midfield as Bradley's nine points (9 points; 8 goals, 1 assist), six draw controls, five ground balls, and caused turnover versus the Monarchs were complemented by great performances from her fellow midfielders. Gordon (8; 7, 1) and Colliluori (5; 1, 4) combined for 12 of the Griffins other 15 points.

The Red and Gold midfielders celebrated their hard work with honors as Bradley supported an Honor Roll appearance (Feb. 23) with AEC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week (Mar. 2) and AEC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week (Mar. 9) selections, and Colliluori enjoyed back-to-back Weekly Honor Roll selections (Mar. 2, Mar. 9).

Unfortunately, the Red and Gold's winning ways did not continue as the victory over King's College (Pa.) was followed by another three-game losing streak. Gwynedd Mercy University bounced back from losses to Lebanon Valley College (L, 3-22 on Mar. 21), Delaware Valley University (L, 6-10 on Mar. 23), and Alvernia University (L, 9-18 on Mar. 25).

This time, Bradley was the only Griffin recognized on the AEC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Report as she made her second Honor Roll appearance on March 23 after totaling 10 points (9 goals, 1 assist), eight ground balls, five caused turnovers, and nine draw controls between the win over the Monarchs and the loss to the Dutchmen.

Gwynedd Mercy University closed March and opened AEC play with a convincing 16-4 Senior Day victory over Centenary University (N.J.) (Mar. 28). The Griffins used the energy from the pregame ceremony - celebrating Bradley alongside attack Brianna Godwin (Telford, Pa.), defender Ayana Lyons (Norristown, Pa.), and goalkeeper Victoria Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) - to fuel a Red and Gold victory. Colliluori headlined the affair with nine points (9 points; 6 goals, 3 assists), two ground balls, a caused turnover, and eight draw controls. Bradley was equally influential in the triumph with six points (6; 4, 2), seven ground balls, nine caused turnovers, and nine draw controls garnering her, her second AEC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week (Mar. 30) award.

In April, league losses to Marywood University (L, 4-25 on Apr. 8), Immaculata University (L, 9-15 on Apr. 11), Neumann University (L, 4-19 on Apr. 18), and Marymount University (L, 4-23 on Apr. 22) prevented Gwynedd Mercy University from qualifying for postseason play. But, Bradley celebrated a pair of Weekly Honor Roll appearances (Apr. 13, Apr. 20) with continued production over the season's final four games.

Bradley's senior campaign goes down as one of the most memorable in program history as she recorded her 100th career point (6-6; 0:59, 2QTR) and 100th career caused turnover (15:00, 3QTR) at Eastern University (Mar. 6), recovered her 100th career draw control (11:09, 4QTR) versus Delaware Valley University (Mar. 23), and scored her 100th career goal (18-4; 11:36, 4QTR) against Neumann University (Apr. 18), before surpassing the Red and Gold's single-season record for caused turnovers with her final swipe (4:26, 4QTR) of the season opposite Marymount University (Apr. 22). Statistically, she led the Griffins in nearly every category with team-highs in goals (1st, 47), assists (1st, 21), points (1st, 68), shots (1st, 115), groundballs (1st, 57), and caused turnovers (1st, 57). She also ranked second in draw controls (2nd, 60).

Gordon justified her captaincy with 47 points (30 goals, 17 assists) and she also made major strides in her defensive game with career-highs in groundballs (24) and caused turnovers (22). She recorded the game-winning goal in victories over King's College (Pa.) (8-4; 7:51, 2QTR) and Centenary University (N.J.) (Mar. 28) (5-1; 14:31, 2QTR) and she recorded the 100th point of her collegiate career with the assist on third-quarter Colliluori goal (13-4, 7:02 3QTR) at Alvernia University (Mar. 25).

Colliluori finished the season with 39 points (27, 12). She complemented her offensive production with 21 caused turnovers, 28 ground balls, and a team-high 66 draw controls.

All-AEC Second Teamers, Dunlap (14 games played – 14 games started) and O'Neill (13-13) were mainstays in the Gwynedd Mercy University starting backfield. The former recorded 26 ground balls, 20 caused turnovers, and a draw control, while the latter provided two shots, two draw controls, 19 ground balls, and 22 caused turnovers during the course of the season.
