Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.) appeared on her fifth
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll of the season with four goals, two ground balls, three caused turnovers, and a draw control in the Griffins' recent 19-4 loss at Neumann University (Apr. 18). Her final goal (18-4, 11:36 4QTR) of the contest was the 100
th of her collegiate career.
Bradley was joined on the AEC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Immaculata University junior midfielder Elizabeth Mahmud (Downingtown, Pa.), Neumann University junior attack/midfielder Alena Catka (Brookhaven, Pa.), Marymount University senior attack Tess Valentino (Baltimore, Md.), and Marywood University senior attack Natalie Yilanjian (Sellersville, Pa.). The AEC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week went to Immaculata University freshman attack Keira Benoit (Wilmington, Del.), while the AEC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award went to Marywood University senior midfielder Avery Meighan (Floral Park, N.Y.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (2-12, 1-3) competed in another challenging AEC match-up as they fell to Neumann University (6-8, 4-0) by a 19-4 final in Saturday afternoon's affair. Bradley's performance was the silver lining as she scored all four of the Red and Gold's goals with four shots. She took advantage of an extra-player opportunity to end the Knights' opening 13-goal run with her first goal of the game; 13-1 (3:47 2QTR). A second Bradley goal came late in the second quarter (13-2, 2:46 2QTR), a third on an extra-player opportunity in the third quarter (14-3, 13:37 3QTR), and the milestone strike early in the fourth quarter (18-4, 11:36 4QTR).
Gwynedd Mercy University finishes their regular season and AEC schedules on Wednesday, April 22, when they host Marymount University for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
