Ciran Earns Second AEC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week Title

AEC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week (4/20/2026): Landen Ciran
Lancaster, Pa. – (4/20/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore midfielder Landen Ciran (Ephrata, Pa.) garnered his second Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week title with his performance in the Griffins' recent 15-7 triumph over Neumann University (Apr. 18). Ciran took a team, and career, high 21 shots to score his career, and season, high six goals.

Opposite Ciran, the AEC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week went to Marymount University freshman goalkeeper Connor Howard (North Wales, Pa.). The AEC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll included Immaculata University sophomore attack Jude Azzarano (Wayne, Pa.) and Marymount University graduate James Elko (Purcellville, Va.).

Gwynedd Mercy University (7-5, 2-1) celebrated the collegiate careers of attack/midfielder Nick Citrigno (Southampton, Pa.), attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.), face-off Jake Tedeschi (Goshen, N.Y.), defenseman Dylan Gazda (Pottstown, Pa.), attack Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.), and short stick defensive midfielder Zac Womer (Gilbertsville, Pa.) with Saturday's 15-7 Senior Day triumph over Neumann University (0-13, 0-3). The victory was highlighted by a six-goal performance from Ciran, a six-point (1 goal, 5 assists) effort from sophomore attack David Crespo (Furlong, Pa.), and a united front from the Red and Gold backfield. The Gwynedd Mercy University defense caused 16 turnovers and collected 39 ground balls to keep the Griffins in possession of the ball, while sophomore goalkeeper Alexander Guardino (Lumberton, N.J.) earned the win (7-5) with eight saves, four ground balls, and a caused turnover.

Ciran was previously named the AEC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week on March 9 after scoring four second-half goals in an 8-6 home-opener victory versus Farleigh Dickinson University (FDU) – Florham (Mar. 7). He finished that week with five goals, three ground ball, and a caused turnovers with his additional statistics coming during an earlier loss at Widener University (L, 8-14 on Mar. 4).
