Alexander Guardino (Lumberton, N.J.) was superb between the pipes in an April-24 (10-5) loss to Marymount University as the Griffin goalkeeper made a career-high 20 saves and recovered two ground balls in the loss (7-6). The career performance earned him a spot on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll.
The AEC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week award went to Marymount University senior midfielder Ian Fructuoso (Fairfax, Va.), while the AEC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week went to his teammate, sophomore face-off Winston Horshaw II (Harrisburg, Pa.). Guardino was joined on the AEC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University freshman defenseman Cooper Dee (Lancaster, N.Y.) as well as Immaculata University freshman attack Aaron Headley (Ridley Park, Pa.) and senior defenseman Colton Rhoades (Coatesville, Pa.).
Gwynedd Mercy University concluded their 2026 regular and AEC season schedules with Wednesday night's 10-5 loss at Marymount University. The Griffin offense kept pace with the Saints in shots as the home team held just a five-shot advantage (45-40). Following a 14-4 AEC Semifinal loss at #2 Immaculata University (Apr. 25), Gwynedd Mercy University finished the 2026 season with a 7-7 overall record and a 2-2 league standing.
