Auburndale, Fla. - (3/11/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University (6-3), traveled just south of Davenport, where they continued their spring road trip to take on Albertus Magnus College (2-3). After only securing four hits in yesterday's contest, the Griffins offense reset with 14 hits and secured a 14-7 victory. Griffin Highlights:
- In the first inning, senior infielder Jimmy DeCarlo (Ridley Park, Pa.) continued his impressive start to the 2026 season with an RBI double (1-0), putting him at nine RBIs in the early portion of the season.
- Nodeland's second RBI came just an inning later (2nd) with a single to left field (2-2), and an error from the second baseman later in the inning allowed freshman infielder Felix Melendez (Philadelphia, Pa.) to give the Griffins the lead right back (3-2).
- Two errors in the field brought home two more runs in the third (5-4).
- In the fourth inning, similar to the first, second, and third inning the red and gold brought in a pair of runs again, thanks to a sacrifice bunt from sophomore infielder Devan Ross (Lansdale, Pa.) and a professional at-bat from Melendez working a walk (7-4).
- Gwynedd Mercy would go on to score another run in the sixth thanks to an RBI single from Nodeland.
- In the seventh, the Griffins put up a five-spot in the seventh. An RBI single from freshman outfielder Charlie Neal (Mickeltown, N.J.), an RBI triple from Ross, an RBI single from junior catcher Ryan Schultz (Westmont, N.J.), and a two RBI double from Nodeland extended Gwynedd Mercy's lead to 13-5.
- The final run for the red and gold came in the eighth inning with junior outfielder Karl Wissman (Cinnaminson, N.J.) scoring on a wild pitch (14-6)
