Griffin Highlights:
- Gwynedd Mercy came out of the gate hot with freshman outfielder Charlie Neal (Mickeltown, N.J.) hitting a run-batted-in (RBI) single to left field in the cleanup spot to put the Griffins ahead 1-0. A few pitches later, a wild pitch brought home another run (2-0). An error in the field and a good at-bat from junior infielder Jake Vitale (Laurel Springs, N.J.) reaching base from a fielder's choice gave Gwynedd an early 4-0 advantage.
- With the red and gold down 5-4 heading into the seventh, sophomore infielder Devan Ross (Lansdale, Pa.) found the equalizer with an RBI single to score senior infielder Jimmy DeCarlo (Ridley Park, Pa.) (5-5).
- The offense once again had to try to come through after three runs were allowed in the top of the eighth. Junior outfielder Noah Waldron (Collingswood, N.J.) hit a grounder to the second baseman, but would allow freshman catcher Jacob Ruddell (Warrington, Pa.) (8-6). DeCarlo hit an RBI single to right field a batter later, pulling the Griffins within one (8-7), but would be unable to find the tying run.
- In relief of Inglisa, sophomore pitcher Chase Hamilton (Philadelphia, Pa.) was called out from the bullpen, pitching 2.2 innings allowing three earned runs in the loss (0-1).
