Erin Eisenhart (Bethlehem, Pa.) made her second straight
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll appearance – and third AEC Weekly Report overall - after averaging 13.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week versus league rivals Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 57-53 on Jan. 21) and Saint Elizabeth University (L, 63-66 on Jan. 24). She recorded her fourth double-double of the season – 14 points, 10 rebounds – in the loss to the Eagles.
In addition to Eisenhart, the AEC Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll included Marymount University junior forward Catie Kolwey (Hollywood, Md.), Marywood University junior guard Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa), Neumann University fifth-year forward Emily DuPont (Malvern, Pa.), Pratt Institute sophomore forward Anabela Jakelic (Zagreb, Croatia), and Saint Elizabeth University senior guard Ahjionae Cobb (Landing, N.J.). The AEC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award went to Marymount University graduate guard Chandler Eddleton (Richmond, Va.), while the AEC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award went to Immaculata University sophomore forward Carly Coleman (Springfield, Pa.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (5-12, 2-4) built a commanding first-half lead and withstood a late fourth-quarter push to earn a hard-fought 57–53 AEC victory over Centenary University (N.J.) (8-8, 1-4 AEC) on Wednesday night inside the Griffin Complex. Eisenhart anchored the effort with a steady all-around performance, finishing with 12 points - including a pair of clutch free throws in the final seconds - eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Gwynedd Mercy University delivered a strong road performance on Saturday afternoon, battling back in the second half and cutting a late deficit to one possession before narrowly falling, 66–63, to Saint Elizabeth University (9-8, 3-3 AEC) in an AEC showdown. Sophomore guard
Brianna McFadden (Fairless Hills, Pa.) sparked the comeback with a game, and career-high, 20 points, while Eisenhart was steady throughout with 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and a block over 40 minutes.
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to conference play on Wednesday, January 28, when the team travels to Marymount University for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
