D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) and
Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) were recognized on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for their play in the Griffins' recent league wins over Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 94-83 on Jan. 21) and Saint Elizabeth University (W, 87-67 on Jan. 24). Johnson was one of the Red and Gold's lead scorers in both affairs; he recorded his first collegiate double-double - 16 points, 11 rebounds – and led six Griffins in doubles figures versus the Cyclones before matching his season-high, 21 points, versus the Eagles with a near perfect shooting performance; 9-of-10 (.900) from the field and 2-of-2 (1.000) from the free throw line. Meanwhile, Snead headlined the Red and Gold's defensive effort with a block and three steals; he also averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists between the two contests.
Johnson and Snead were joined on the AEC Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll by Marywood University senior guard Collin Himmelberg (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Pratt Institute freshman forward Kurt Thomas (Dallas, Texas). The AEC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award was given to Neumann University senior forward Donte Dupriest (Philadelphia, Pa.) and the AEC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award went to Marymount University junior guard Reuben McEachern (Richmond, Va.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (12-5, 5-1) shot well - 53.0% (35-of-66) from the floor, 55.6% (10-of-18) from three-point range, and 70.0% (14-of-20) from the free throw line - and did so in transition as they scored 22 off turnovers and 17 on the fastbreak in a 94-83 AEC victory at Centenary University (N.J.) (5-11, 3-2). Six Griffins finished in doubles figures; the pride was led Johnson, who recorded four assists and two steals in addition to his first collegiate double-double; 16 points, 11 rebounds. Snead also recorded 16 points; he added two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.

Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.) headlined the Red and Gold's efforts with efficient afternoons. The former led four Griffins in double figures with 21 points; he was 9-of-10 (.900) from the field and 2-of-2 (1.000) from the free throw line, while recording a rebound, two assists, and a steal. Meanwhile, the latter hit 4-of-5 (.800) from long range and converted a layup for 14 points; he also recorded four rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Snead finished with four points, five rebounds, three assists, a block, and two steals.
