Lancaster, Pa. – (4/25/2025) – With the conclusion of the regular and league season schedules, interim commissioner Rebecca Mullen has officially released the seeding for the
2025 Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament. Back-to-back, league road-wins over Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 15-4 on Apr. 5) and Immaculata University (W, 17-8 on Apr. 9) earned Gwynedd Mercy University (4-13, 2-3) the #4 seed and a trip to #1 Marymount University (15-2, 5-0) for a 4:00 p.m. AEC Semifinal on Saturday, April 26. #2 Neumann University (9-8 4-1) and #3 Marywood University (9-7, 3-2) are scheduled to meet in the opposing semifinal (1:00 p.m. on Apr. 26), while the AEC Women's Lacrosse Championship is schedule to take place on Saturday, May 3, at the home of the highest remaining seed.
Gwynedd Mercy University and Marymount University met in the Griffins' final league and regular season game of the season. Following a 10-0 Saints' first quarter, the Griffin defense was able to apply more pressure. Freshman defender

Gwynedd Mercy University found success through their midfield play, where Gordon and senior captain
Cheyenne Avellino (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) facilitated the offense with 49 points (32 goals, 17 assists) and 45 points (38, 7), respectively. The former ranked among the AEC Top-10 in assists (8
th, 17), while the latter reached several career milestones en route to Top-10 totals in goals (9
th, 38), draw controls (9
th, 60), and caused turnovers (7
th, 27).
The Red and Gold are also enjoying 30-plus points season from senior attack
Alysia Collins (Royersford, Pa.) (32; 24, 8), sophomore attack
Gianna Papa (Stratford, N.J.) (32; 11, 21), and freshman midfielder
Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) (31; 26, 5). Senior attack
Hailey Bloom (Margate City, N.J.) (29; 9, 20) was is not far off either; she and Papa respectively rank fifth (21) and sixth (20) in assists. Colliluori ranks fifth among her conference peers with 72 draw controls.
Williams made the most starts (14gp-9gs) in net, while fellow sophomore
Victoria Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) logged the most minutes (501:09) and saves (143).
