GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy's quest for a three-peat came up short as the back-to-back defending conference champions lost a tough 8-1 decision to Neumann in a battle for the final playoff spot for this weekend's CSAC Team Championships. The Griffins needed a win over the Knights for a chance to make it three in a row.

The doubles team of Nick Czibik and Adam Chau scored the team's only point of the match, an 8-6 win at #2 doubles.

The Griffins (3-6, 3-4 CSAC) will close out the 2017 season tomorrow when they take on Division II Philadelphia University here at home starting at 3:30 p.m.
