SCRANTON, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy improved to 3-0 on the season with a big 7-2 Colonial States Athletic Conference at Marywood on Friday.

"We won 7-2, but some were very tight matches, and some of the scores were truly not indicative of the actual individual match play. Marywood played us tough, but the doubles came up huge, and singles did as well. It's still too early to forecast the season and we have to turn around and play a solid Immaculata squad immediately tomorrow. Overall, the coaching staff was extremely proud of our gals today," stated head coach Jim Holt.

The Griffins (3-0, 3-0 CSAC) play at Immaculata tomorrow in a 1 p.m. start.
