SCRANTON, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy closed out the regular season with an 8-1 win at Summit. The match was played at Marywood University.

With the win, the Griffins (9-3, 7-0 CSAC) also claim an undefeated CSAC slate and clinch the #1 playoff seed at the CSAC Team Tournament next weekend.

In singles play, the top four Griffin players mowed down their opponents with extreme grit and intensity. Brian Irwin finished business by coming back to win in the third set tiebreaker completing yet another undefeated regular season

Coach Jim Holt stated. "Coach Palermo and I I were so proud of the guys today, but we're on a four-phase mission. We aren't done yet." 

The Griffins will have to wait to see their opponent is until the rest of the conference finishes their matches. Semifinal play gets under way on Friday morning at the Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelphia.
