GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- An early own goal did not fare well for the Gwynedd-Mercy College Men's Soccer team as they fell to visiting King's, 3-0, on Saturday.

The Griffins (1-8) fell behind in just the fourth minute as an errant clear off a Monarch corner kick went the wrong way. Nial Croke added a tally in the 14th minute as King's would lead 2-0 at the half.

Senior goalie Mike Leonard (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was kept busy, making nine saves on 16 shots.

GM was guilty of four yellow cards and had to play a man-down in the last 10 minutes of the contest due to a red card.

Jordan Okun had the final tally for the Monarchs (6-1-1).

Gwynedd will look to get back on track when they travel to Bryn Athyn on Monday for a non-league matchup beginning at 4 p.m.
