Red and Gold Captains Claim All-AEC Men’s Soccer Second Team Honors

2025 All-AEC Men's Soccer Team: Braedon Kehan (2nd Team, Luke O'Donnell (2nd Team)
Lancaster, Pa. – (11/12/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University captains, senior forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) and junior midfielder Luke O'Donnell (Glenside, Pa.) were among the 23 student-athletes recognized by league commissioner Rebecca Mullen on the 2025 All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Soccer Team; both garnered Second Team honors. The AEC also announced the 2025 Men's Soccer Major Award Winners; Neumann University dominated the respects with the AEC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year – junior forward Jordan Illian (Millsboro, Del.) – the AEC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Year – senior defenseman Dominic Petruzzelli (Warminster, Pa.) – the AEC Men's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year – Erik Temple and his assistants Zack Swarbrick, Daniel Lewis, Daniel Rival, Dean Temple, and Bruce Cardiff, as well as the AEC Men's Soccer Elite Scholar Athlete Award with Petruzzelli earning the championship-site academic recognition. The AEC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year was Immaculata University freshman goalkeeper Luca Greppellini (Newbury, England).
 
Following a 13-3-3 season and a perfect 7-0 run through the AEC, Neumann University defended their 2024 league championship and #1 seeding for the 2025 AEC Men's Soccer Championship Tournament with a successful repeat run to the conference crown. Coach Temple and his staff placed seven Knights on the 2025 All-AEC roster including Illian (1st Team) and Petruzzelli (1st).
 
Illian was selected as the league's top offensive player after a season where he ranked first in the conference in shots (1st, 104), second in goals (2nd, 13) and points (2nd, 31), and tied for second in assists (T2nd, 5) and game-winning goals (T2nd, 3 GWG). He started in 18 games in which he appeared and was named the AEC Men's Soccer Player of the Week on September 2 and October 13, as well as a Weekly Honor Roll member on September 15.
 
Petruzzelli was recognized as the league's top defensive player for the second straight year. The Knight's lead back started all 19 of their games this season and recorded one shot. He was also named the AEC Elite Scholar, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average (GPA) competing at the championship site. The secondary Education-Mathematics 2025 All-AEC Men's Soccer Team (Second Team): Braedon Kehanand holds a perfect 4.0 GPA. Full criteria can be found here.

Greppellini had a great debut season for Immaculata University, protecting the Mighty Mac goal with a 1.96 goal-against average (GAA) and a .755 save percentage (SV%). In 14 games (14 starts), he totaled 1,195:55 minutes and earned a 2-10-2 record; both his wins were of the shutout variety.

Kehan and O'Donnell both garnered the second All-AEC laurels of their collegiate careers as the Griffin captains respectively earned All-AEC First Team honors in 2023 and 2024.
 
Kehan led Gwynedd Mercy University in goals (8), points (19), and shots (56); he ranked fourth in the league 2025 All-AEC Men's Soccer Team (Second Team): Luke O'Donnellfor the first two and third for the last. He also ranked among the AEC Top-10 in assists (T8th, 3) and GWG (T2nd, 3). Kehan started all 19 of the Griffins contests and scored game-winners against Pen State Berks (W, 4-1 on Sept. 29), Penn State Schuylkill (W, 11-0 on Oct. 1), and Pratt Institute (W, 2-0 on Oct. 8).
 
O'Donnell was named the AEC Men's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring the Red and Gold's game-winner at Centenary University (N.J.) (W, 3-2 on Oct. 29). He finished his junior campaign with four goals in 14 contests (13 starts) and he ranked among the AEC Top-10 in assists (T4th, 4), points (T8th, 12), and shots (9th, 30).
