Inglisa Named AEC Pitcher of the Week, Junker Joins Honor Roll

Lancaster, Pa. – (4/28/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University sophomore Michael Inglisa (Delran, N.J.) was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week after holding Immaculata University to an unearned run on three hits and three walks over seven innings of a 2-1 game-one Senior Day victory on April 25. He was joined on the league’s weekly report by senior outfielder Sam Junker (Ambler, Pa.) who went 6-for-14 (.429) on the week, including a 5-for-6 (.833), two runs-batted-in (RBI) effort in a doubleheader sweep of the Mighty Macs (W, 2-1/W, 9-8 on Apr. 25).

Opposite Inglisa, the AEC Baseball Player of the Week award went to Neumann University senior infielder Brandon Colon (King of Prussia, Pa.). Junker was joined on the AEC Baseball Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University freshman pitcher/infielder Kaden Netta (Wilmington, Del.), Marymount University senior pitcher Andrew Schaeb (Burke, Va.), and Marywood University senior catcher A.J. Giannetti (New City, N.Y.).

The Red and Gold worked their way toward the end of their regular season schedule with the end of their non-conference schedule – a 13-3 loss (Apr. 22) to #4 Kean University (31-5) and a 6-3 win (on Apr. 23) over Penn State Abington (16-15) – and an AEC doubleheader sweep (W, 2-1/W, 9-8 on Apr. 25) over Immaculata University (9-24, 4-7). Inglisa was sensational in the first start of his collegiate career as he went the complete game (7.0 innings) in the first game of the Mighty Mac twin bill. He allowed just one run on three hits and three walks, while striking out three in the victory (3-4). Junker went 2-for-3 with singles in the fourth and sixth innings. The Griffins’ centerfielder also went 3-for-3 in game two against Immaculata University with RBI singles in the second and fourth innings, as well as a double in the eighth.

Gwynedd Mercy University concludes their AEC series with Immaculata University on Monday, April 28, when they visit the Mighty Macs for a 3:00 p.m. first pitch.
