Kish Named Player of the Week, Devine Milestone Earns AEC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Lancaster, Pa. – (3/17/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University seniors, midfielder Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) and goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) headlined a 2-0 week versus Delaware Valley University (W, 12-2 on Mar. 12) and Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) (W, 13-9 on Mar. 15) with offensive firepower and defensive milestones. As a result, Kish was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, while Devine garnered a Weekly Honor Roll mention. Kish scored seven goals in the win over the Aggies and finished the two-game run with 9 goals on 23 shots. Meanwhile, Devine totaled eight saves against the Aggies to surpass 400 career saves and establish himself as the Red and Gold’s all-time leader in the category.

Opposite Kish, Marymount University senior faceoff Cameron Glass (Bel Air, Md.) was named the AEC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Devine was joined on the AEC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Marymount University senior attack Bryan Maguire (Phoenixville, Pa.), Immaculata University senior midfielder Connor Teears (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow (Willow Grove, Pa.), Centenary University (N.Y.) seniors Brian Rosko (Hardwick, N.J.) and senior goalkeeper Travis Austin (Toms River, N.J.), as well as Neumann University senior face-off Jake Methlie (Springfield, Pa.) and junior attack Brendan Boschi (Litchfield, N.H.).

Gwynedd Mercy University (3-6) had no problem dealing Delaware Valley University (3-1) their first loss of the season thanks to the consistent contributions Kish; the Griffin senior midfielder scored seven times and recovered three ground balls in a 12-2 Red and Gold victory. Gwynedd Mercy University controlled the contest with a 26-of-28 (.929) success rate on clears and a 10-of-15 (.667) face-off performance from freshman Edson Robles (Dover, Del.). Devine recorded eight saves, two ground balls, two caused turnovers in his 12 win as a Griffin.

The Red and Gold offense stayed hot in a March-15 return to the Athletic Complex as headlining performances from junior attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) (3 goals, 2 assists) and senior attack Dominic Romania (Phoenixville, Pa.) (4 goals, 1 assist) helped the Gwynedd Mercy University stack goals in a 13-9 victory over Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) (2-3). The Griffins out-shot the Knights by a 53-37 margin, cleared 17-of-20 (.850) of their transitions, and split the face-offs (13-of-26, .500). Kish recorded two goals, seven shots, three ground balls, and a caused turnover, while Devine totaled seven saves and a ground ball in the win (3-6).

Gwynedd Mercy University continues their non-conference schedule on Saturday, March 22, when they visit Cairn University for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
