Haley Crossley (Philadelphia, Pa.) of the women's basketball team was honored with the Gwynedd Mercy University Senior Student-Athlete Award.
A two-year captain (2021-2022, 2022-2023), Crossley parlayed the 2022-2023 AEC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year award and an All-AEC First Team selection into a 2022-2023 City of Basketball Love (CoBL)-Area Division III Women's Basketball Second Team and 2023 Division III Women's Basketball All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team selections. She was a three-time AEC Defensive Player of the Week (Nov. 14, Jan. 17, Feb. 20), a two-time AEC Offensive Player of the Week (Dec. 12, Jan. 23), and a Weekly Honor Roll mention on January 30. She led Gwynedd Mercy University in field goals made (126), offensive rebounds (71), defensive rebounds (138), total rebounds (209), and rebounds per game (10.0). Crossley ranked among the AEC Top-10 in in field goals made (8th), field goal percentage (5th, .424), free throws made (T9th, 77), free throw percentage (9th, .706), offensive rebounds (4th), defensive rebounds (4th), total rebounds (T4th), rebounds per game (1st), assists (3rd, 78), assists per game (1st, 3.7), blocks (T5th, 17), steals (4th, 48), steals per game (1st, 2,3), and points per game (4th, 16.4). Crossley reached 1,000 points for her collegiate career in an 86-75 loss to Cabrini University on January 21.
Academically, Crossley was recognized on the 2022-2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) DIII Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team. She is a two-time member of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite (Fall 2022, Spring 2022) and a three-time member of the AEC All-Academic Team (2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022).
