New Orleans, La. – (7/27/2026) – The Gwynedd Mercy University men's track and field team was one of 183 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III programs recognized as a 2026 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's Track & Field All-Academic Team. In order to be considered for recognition, programs must maintain a cumulative team grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.10 on a 4.0 scale during the given scholastic season.
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's track and field team posted a 3.39 team GPA in 2025-2026 with four members earning recognition on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) All-Academic Team. They placed two Griffins on the Fall 2025, Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Academic Elite and three on the Spring 2026 roster. Individually, sophomore Tyson Scheitrum (Harrisburg, Pa.) was recognized on the 2025-2026 Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) Men's Track and Field Academic All-Area Team and the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Men's Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-District Team.
