Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.) made her fourth appearance on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll this season with 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists), 17 shots, seven ground balls, five caused turnovers, and eight draw controls in league losses to Marywood University (L, 4-25 on Apr. 8) and Immaculata University (L, 9-15 on Apr. 11). Bradley recorded eight of her points against the Mighty Macs with six goals and two assists in Saturday's home defeat.
Bradley was joined on the AEC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University junior attack/midfielder Alena Catka (Brookhaven, Pa.), Marymount University senior midfielder Kaylee Heath (Lorton, Va.), and Marywood University senior midfielder Kaitlyn Smith (Merrick, N.Y.). The AEC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week award went to Marymount University sophomore attack Makenzie Morrissette (Cambridge, Md.), while the AEC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week award went to Immaculata University junior midfielder Elizabeth Mahmud (Downingtown, Pa.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (2-11, 1-2) drew a tough AEC road challenge with Wednesday night's contest at Marywood University (9-5, 3-0). The Pacers used an 11-1 first-quarter advantage to precipitate their eventual 25-4 win. Sophomore midfielder
Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) led the Griffins with two goals and Bradley assisted on both; the first was an extra-player answer (1-1, 12:57 1QTR) to Marywood University's opening goal (1-0, 13:56 1QTR) and the second (3-15, 2:10 2QTR) came on the Red and Gold's final goal of the first half. Bradley also recorded one shot, a ground ball, a caused turnover, and two draw controls in the contest.
Gwynedd Mercy University showed their grit in Saturday's AEC affair versus Immaculata University (4-10, 1-2) as they matched the visitor's intensity early and trimmed an 11-5 halftime deficit with a pair of third-quarter goals (11:44, 5:26) from Bradley; 11-7, before a 15-9 conclusion. Bradley spirited the Red and Gold effort with eight points (6 goals, 2 assists), 14 shots, six ground balls, four caused turnovers, and six draw controls.
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action next Saturday, April 18, when they visit AEC rival, Neumann University for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
