Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Lacrosse Weekly Report as senior midfielder
Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.) earned the Defensive Player of the Week award and sophomore midfielder
Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) garnered Honor Roll recognition for their play in road games versus Wilkes University (L, 6-10 on Feb. 26) and Arcadia University (L, 5-18 on Feb. 28). Bradley totaled five ground balls, five caused turnovers, and six draw controls while offering six points (2 goals, 4 assists) to the Red and Gold's efforts versus the Colonels and Knights. Colliluori was equally effective with six points (5 goals, 1 assist) of her own, six ground balls, two caused turnovers, and eight draw controls.
Opposite Bradley, the AEC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honor went to Neumann University attack/midfielder Alena Catka (Brookhaven, Pa.). Colliluori was joined on the Weekly Honor Roll by Marymount University sophomore goalkeeper Ava Vautour (Hamilton, Mass.) and senior attack Tess Valentino (Baltimore, Md.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (0-3) continued their young season on the road as they traveled to Wilkes University (2-0) for Thursday evening's contest. Despite a balanced team effort, the Griffins were unable to get the win in a competitive 10-6 final. The Red and Gold matched the Colonels shot-for-shot and finished with 23 in all. Junior midfielder
Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J.) recorded five points (4 goals, 1 assist), while Bradley and Colliluori rounded out the Red and Gold's performance. Bradley recorded two assists, three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls. Colliluori offered two goals, five ground balls, a caused turnover, and three draw controls.
At Arcadia University (3-0), the Knights used a 7-0 (12:35, 2QTR) head start to defeat the Griffins by a 18-5 final. Facing the early deficit, Colliluori netted an extra-player tally to break the run; 7-1 (7:16, 1QTR). Down 11-1 (0:51) at halftime, the Red and Gold rallied with a dominant third-quarter that included two goals apiece from Colliluori (6:04, 4:42) and Bradley (7:54, 3:41). The duo finished with four points apiece; the former paired her points (3 goals, 1 assist) with one ground ball, one caused turnover, and five draw controls, while the latter's points (2 goals, 2 assists) came with two ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls.
