Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (4/11/2026) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-11, 1-2) showed their grit in today's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) affair versus Immaculata University (4-10, 1-2) as they matched the visitor's intensity early and trimmed an 11-5 halftime deficit with a pair of third-quarter goals (11:44, 5:26) from senior midfielder Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.); 11-7, before today's 15-9 conclusion. Bradley spirited the Red and Gold effort with eight points (6 goals, 2 assists), 14 shots, six ground balls, four caused turnovers, and six draw controls. Her performance was supported by the play of freshman midfielder Samantha Whelan (Birdsboro, Pa.) (1 goal, 2 shots, 4 ground balls, 1 caused turnover, 2 draw controls) and junior midfielder Rebecca Gordon (Sickerville, N.J.) (2 goals, 1 assist, 1 ground ball, 4 caused turnovers, and 1 draw control).

Griffin Highlights

• Gwynedd Mercy University matched Immaculata University's level early as a goal from Gordon (2-1, 10:09 1QTR) and a pair from Bradley (6:18, 5:48 1QTR) brought the contest even at 3-3 with 5:48 remaining in the first quarter.
• Bradley put the game on her shoulders in the second half; winning draws, causing turnovers, clearing balls, recovering ground balls, and scoring twice; the first on a coast-to-coast success with 11:44 (11-6) remaining in the third quarter and the second on a set-up from Gordon at 5:26 (11-7).
• In goal, senior Victoria Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) recorded a dozen (12) saves and four ground balls in the loss (2-11).
