Griffin Highlights
- Vannais found freshman attack/midfielder Ethan Galvan (Brick, N.J.) for the game's first goal; it put Gwynedd Mercy University up 1-0 with 4:55 remaining in the first half.
- In the second quarter, Devine scored his first goal of the game to put the Griffin up 2-1 with 1:03 remaining; Galvan assisted.
- The second half looked much different. The Red and Gold scored eight unanswered goals as Devine found senior attack/midfielder Nick Citrigno (Southampton, Pa.) with 8:36 (3-1) remaining in the third quarter before scoring two unassisted goals of his own; 6:42, 2:35. After that, freshman midfielder/attack Cooper Lachowicz (Toms River, N.J.) (6-1, 0:45 3QTR), Vannais (7-1, 0:22 3QTR), and Ciran chimed in with their scores.
- Devine took a team-high 16 shots and added four ground balls and three cauesed turnovers to his scores.
- The Red and Gold defense sparked the win. Senior Joe Oriold (Southampton, Pa.) recorded six ground balls and four caused turnovers, junior Dylan Gazda (Pottstown, Pa.) totaled five ground balls and a caused turnover, freshman Caleb Gaines (Brookhaven, Pa.) contributed seven ground balls and a caused turnover, while senior Bryce Gaffney (Turnersville, N.J.) and freshman long stick midfielder Colton Munyan (Jupiter, Fla.) caused three turnovers apiece.
- Tedeschi recorded the 200th face-off win of his collegiate career with his draw and scoop to start the second quarter. He recovered five ground balls.
