- Junior center fielder Noah Waldron (Collingswood, N.J.) led off the game with a walk and quickly moved to third with a pair of passed balls. Three batters later, Belfus sacrificed him home for the first Gwynedd Mercy University run; 1-0. Immediately, afterwards Melendez doubled to right center to bring home senior designated hitter Jimmy DeCarlo (Ridley Park, Pa.), 2-0.
- In the third inning, sophomore second baseman Deven Ross (Lansdale, Pa.) drew a one-out walk, Wissman singled through the right side, and freshman catcher Jacob Ruddell (Warrington, Pa.) before a fielder's choice off the bat of freshman right fielder Charlie Neal (Mickleton, N.J.) delivered the next Griffin run; 3-0.
- The fourth inning turned into a merry-go-round after Belfus' sacrifice bunt as singles from Melendez (4-0), Wissman (6-0), Neal (7-0), Haines (9-0), DeCarlo (10-0), and Belfus (12-0) brought home the runs necessary to end the game early.
- Ruddell scored a run and drew three walks, while serving as backstop for Glovas' perfect four.
