Montclair, N.J. - (2/15/2026) - Gwynedd Mercy University (0-2) continued their early-season schedule with today's contest at Montclair State University (2-0); in a 17-4 final, the Red Hawks welcomed the Griffins with a 4-0 first quarter and put the game out of reach with a 7-1 third quarter. Senior attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) scored two goals (8:14, 1:21) in the fourth quarter, while his classmate Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) recorded the Red and Gold tallies in the second (5-1, 0:26) and third (7-2, 10:59) quarters.

Griffin Highlights

• Gwynedd Mercy university was 20-of-25 (.800) on the clear and they matched Montclair State University in ground balls with 32.
• The Griffins also fared better in the circle as senior face-off Jake Tedeschi (Goshen, N.Y.) led a 12-of-23 (.522) with and 8-of-16 (.500) showing.
• Seaman needed eight shots for his two scores; his second was a man-up tally off a feed from sophomore midfielder Landen Ciran (Ephrata, Pa.). He also recovered three ground balls.
• Devine score his two scores on seven shots. He corralled a team-high six ground balls.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Alexander Guardino (Lumberton, N.J.) totaled seven saves and five ground balls in the loss (0-2).

Gwynedd Mercy University is scheduled for their home opener on Wednesday, February 18, when they host Albright College for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
