Bethlehem, Pa. - (2/11/2026) - A 6-0 head-start gave Moravian University (1-0) the advantage they needed to defeat Gwynedd Mercy University (0-1) in today's season opener as the Griffins outscored the Greyhounds 3-1 in the second half of a 9-5 final. Senior attack Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) put the Red and Gold on the scoreboard with a pair of two unassisted goals (6:06, 0:50) in the first half; 8-2, but in the second half sophomore attack David Crespo (Furlong, Pa.) and senior attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) got Gwynedd Mercy University back in the game. The former completed a Seaman pass with 7:39 (8-3) remaining in the third quarter, while the latter scored a goal in both the third (8-4, 3:05) and fourth (8-5, 10:24) quarters; Crespo repaid Seaman with the assist on his second goal.

• Gwynedd Mercy University put 15 of their 25 shots on-goal after successfully clearing the ball on 19-of-30 (.633) transitions.
• The Griffins were 7-of-17 (.412) on face-offs and they beat the Greyhounds in ground balls 38-37. Senior face-off Jake Tedeschi (Goshen, N.Y.) was 6-of-15 (.400) in the circle and secured two ground balls.
• Seaman recorded his two goals on seven shots. He also recovered two ground balls and caused a turnover.
• Devine added four ground balls and a caused turnover to his tallies.
• In goal, sophomore finished with six saves, three ground balls, and a caused turnover.
