Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (9/15/2025) – On Friday, September 26, Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics will officially welcome its eighth class of Hall of Fame Griffins. "This is one of our favorite events," said Director of Athletics Keith Mondillo. "Not only do we get the opportunity to celebrate and honor some of our greatest student-athlete and University ambassadors, but we get a chance to come together as Griffins. I truly treasure the opportunity to recognize the best of our best." Honoring Excellence in Leadership, Legacy, and Competition, the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 2011 to celebrate champions and build tradition. Among the 2025 honorees are; Paul Murphy, Associate Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach (1997-2020); R.J. Every, Men's Cross Country (2006-2010); Kelsey Deveney Barbrow, Field Hockey (2010-2013); Tony McCraw, Men's Lacrosse (2012-2016); Peter Brzezinski, Men's Tennis (2013-2017); Colleen Farrell, Women's Cross Country (2003-2006); Dave Tatoian, Baseball (2015-2019).

Paul MurphyPaul Murphy, Associate Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach (1997-2020)
Paul Murphy is synonymous with Gwynedd Mercy baseball and athletics excellence. He launched and built the program, coached nearly half a millennium of victories, and oversaw five National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) appearances, cementing the Griffins among the top teams in Division III. As Associate AD, he helped transform Gwynedd Mercy's athletic landscape through facility enhancements and comprehensive program growth. Nationally, he influenced the direction of Division III baseball during his tenure as NCAA Committee Chair. Paul Murphy's dual legacy - as coach and athletic leader, on-field tactician and off-field architect - makes him an automatic and deserving candidate for Gwynedd Mercy Athletics Hall of Fame honors.

R.J. EveryR.J. Every, Men's Cross Country (2006-2010)
R.J. Every was a cornerstone of Gwynedd Mercy's rise in cross country. As a three-time All-Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC)/Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) First Team and two-time conference Runner of the Year, he captured the individual conference title in 2009, igniting five straight conference championships for the Griffins. His dominance earned him a spot on the CSAC/PAC 25th Anniversary Men's Cross Country Team. R.J. Every's contributions helped shape a storied legacy that bridged the program's early foundations to future success and makes him a perfect addition to the Gwynedd Mercy Athletics Hall of Fame.

Kelsey (Deveny) BarbrowKelsey Deveney Barbrow, Field Hockey (2010-2013)
Kelsey (Deveney) Barbrow leaves a lasting legacy at Gwynedd Mercy as a four-year starting defender and two-year team captain. She consistently excelled as a playmaker, finishing her career with 14 goals, 19 assists, and 47 points across 83 games. As a critical contributor, she helped secure consecutive CSAC Championships in 2011 and 2012, highlighted by clutch performances such as her three point-game against Susquehanna in 2012. Kelsey's on-field prowess was matched by her academic excellence - she earned a spot on the Philadelphia Inquirer/PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team and was a three-time CSAC All-Academic selection, graduating with a 3.73 grade point average (GPA) in Human Services. Kelsey (Deveny) Barbrow's leadership and character exemplify the spirit of Gwynedd Mercy Athletics.

Tony McCrawTony McCraw, Men's Lacrosse (2012-2016)
Tony McCraw rewrote the record books and set the standard for excellence during his tenure at Gwynedd Mercy University. A two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III All-American (2015, 2016) and two-time CSAC Player of the Year (2015, 2016), McCraw tallied 138 goals and 60 assists (198 points) in 59 career games and he was just the second Griffin to surpass 100 career goals. His dominance on the field included Nationally recognized face-off stats in 2015 (.651 FO%; 112-of-172) and his scoring outburst against Delaware Valley (5 goals, 1 assist, 6-of-6 face-offs), and his 2016 season (41 goals, 21 assists, 62 points, 40 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, .625; 20-of-32 face-offs) that etched his name in program history. Tony McCraw's leadership, record-breaking achievements, and impact on the Griffin legacy make him a clear Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Hall of Fame choice.

Peter BrzezinskiPeter Brzezinski, Men's Tennis (2013-2017)
Peter Brzezinski stands among the most decorated athletes in Gwynedd Mercy men's tennis history. An unwavering force at #1 singles from 2014 to 2016, he earned back-to-back CSAC Player of the Year (2014, 2015) honors and compiled outstanding records each season. In 2014, his flawless 6–0, 6–0 win in singles and 8–0 doubles victory earned him Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Co-Player of the Week honors. His leadership helped the program to consecutive CSAC Championships and NCAA postseason play in both the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Post-graduation, Peter continued his impact as both volunteer assistant and later head coach, guiding the program to continued success. Peter Brzezinski's combination of talent, consistency, leadership, and legacy on-and-off the court make him a standout choice for the Gwynedd Mercy Athletic Hall of Fame.
 
Colleen FarrellColleen Farrell, Women's Cross Country (2003-2006)
Colleen Farrell was a cornerstone of Gwynedd Mercy's rise in collegiate cross country. As the 2002 PAC individual champion and a three-time All-PAC First-Team performer, she consistently led by example. In 2003, her standout 4th-place finish at the PAC Championship (20:56.6) and a victory at the Delaware Valley Invitational earned her ECAC Runner of the Week recognition. Farrell's exceptional performance secured her a spot on the CSAC 25th Anniversary Team, affirming her status as one of the program's early elite competitors. Her legacy transcends race results; she helped shape a culture of excellence that endures today. Colleen Farrell's achievements – as well as her foundational role in team championships - make her a natural candidate for the Gwynedd Mercy Athletic Hall of Fame.
 
Dave TatoianDave Tatoian, Baseball (2015-2019)
Dave Tatoian is among the most decorated student-athletes in Gwynedd Mercy baseball history. With career totals of 206 hits, 22 homers, and 160 runs-batted-in (RBI), he serves as the programs all-time leader in the latter two categories. A three-time All-CSAC First Team (2016, 2017, 2018) selection and two-time American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region honoree, Tatoian also captured D3Baseball.com All-Region and All-American status in 2019 with clutch performances that included a record-setting grand slam in the conference finals and a ninth-inning postseason save. Whether batting, fielding, or pitching in relief, his impact was undeniable. Dave Tatoian's statistical dominance, leadership, and memorable postseason moments make him a standout candidate for the Gwynedd Mercy Athletics Hall of Fame.
