Greenwood, Ind. – (6/3/2025) – Senior infielder Ricky Templeton (West Deptford, N.J.), and sophomores; infielder Ryan Horner (Cinnaminson, N.J.), pitcher Michael Inglisa (Delran, N.J.), and pitcher Patrick Talley (Collingswood, N.J.) were recognized as some of the Nation's top student-athletes with their selection to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Academic All-District Baseball Team (.PDF). The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the Nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and maintained at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) while competing in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played or starting at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
 
Templeton served as the Griffins primary first baseman for a second straight season while totaling 20 runs and 15 runs-batted-in (RBI) with a .283 (32-for-113)/.396/.389 slash line. He drew 14 walks, was beaned seven times, and stole one base (1-for-2, .500). This is Templeton's second straight CSC Academic All-District laurel as a member of the Red and Gold. He is a four-time member of the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) All-Academic Team (2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024), a three-time member of the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite (F23, S24, F24), and a 2025 inductee to Chi Alpha Sigma; the National College Athlete Honor Society.
 
Opposite Templeton, Horner was the Griffins everyday third baseman. He played brilliantly at the hot corner (.904 FLD%; 115 Total Chances) while totaling 19 runs and 20 RBI on a .298 (39-for-131)/.383/.382 slash line. He drew 15 walks, was beaned three times, and stole five bases (5-for-6, .833). Academically, Horner was a member of the 2023-2024 AEC All-Academic Team and the Fall 2024 Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite.

Inglisa sported the AEC's best earned run average (ERA) with a 2.92; he allowed 12 earned runs on 32 hits, 19 walks, and eight hit batsmen over 37.0 innings pitched. He went 3-5 with three saves; the latter tied for the league lead as well. Inglisa also struck out 29 on a .242 batting average against (BAA). Academically, Inglisa was recognized on the 2023-2024 AEC All-Academic Team and appeared on both the Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite.
 
Talley was 3-4 in 11 appearances (6 starts); he sported a 2.58 ERA, allowing 39 earned runs on 72 hits, 19 walks, and 10 hit batsmen. He struck out 21 in 35.1 innings of work. Talley was named to the Fall 2023 Gwynedd Mercy University Athletics Academic Elite and garnered recognition on the 2023-2024 AEC All-Academic Team.
 
The Academic All-America program is conducted by the members of the CSC and separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, Second, and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 1, 2025.
