2025 All-AEC Baseball Team: Cooper Root (1st Team), Jimmy DeCarlo (1st Team), Michael Inglisa (2nd Team)
Lancaster, Pa. – (5/14/2025) – Honoring the league's top regular-season performers, Interim Commissioner Rebecca Mullen, has officially released the members of the 2025 All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Baseball Team and major award winners. Junior infielder Jimmy DeCarlo (Ridley Park, Pa.) and senior outfielder/utility Cooper Root (Runnemede, N.J.) garnered All-AEC First Team honors, while sophomore pitcher Michael Inglisa (Delran, N.J.) was named to the All-AEC Second Team. This is Root's third straight all-league laurel and second straight First Team honor.
 
2025 All-AEC Baseball Team: Cooper Root (1st Team)The recently crowned AEC Champions, Marymount University offered the league's top rookie as sophomore catcher/first baseman Jack McCarthy (Burke, Va.) garnered the 2025 AEC Baseball Rookie of the Year title. The Neumann University coaching staff – Head Coach Scott Grimes, Assistant Coach David Alvarez, Assistant Coach John Merkh, and Assistant Coach Jesse Murphy – were recognized as the league's to staff and they produced the 2025 AEC Baseball Player of the Year in senior outfielder Thomas Carroll (Woodbury, N.J.). Immaculata University sophomore Alex LePage (Cinnaminson, N.J.) and Marymount University senior pitcher/first baseman David Muirhead (Manassas, Va.) shared the 2025 AEC Pitcher of the Year award. Centenary University (N.J.) senior pitcher Zach Gehman (Barto, Pa.) was selected as the 2025 AEC Baseball Relief Pitcher of the Year, while the 2025 AEC Baseball Elite 20 award went to Marymount University junior outfielder/first baseman Nick Trapanese (Kinnelon, N.J.).
 
Coach Grimes and his staff directed the Knights to a 27-13 overall record and a 11-4 conference standing that earned them the #2 seed in the 2025 AEC Baseball Championship Tournament. Neumann University earned nine more wins than last season (2024: 16-23) and eight more conference wins (2024: 3-15).
 
2025 All-AEC Baseball Team: Jimmy DeCarlo (1st Team)Carroll owned the league's top number is triples (1st, 5) and total bases (1st, 91) with a .368 (53-for-144)/.459/.632 slash line that produced 40 runs (6th) and 39 runs-batted-in (5th, RBI). He offered the league's third best on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) with a 1.091.

LePage and Muirhead both held their opponents to a .250 batting average (BAA). The former was 7-5 with a 3.30 ERA; he allowed 26 earned runs on 71 hits, 22 walks, and 21 hit batsmen, while striking out 75. He completed four games in 12 starts and threw one shutout. Meanwhile, the latter was 5-3 with a 3.53 ERA; he allowed 32 earned runs on 62 hits, 24 walks, and eight hit batsmen, while striking out 55. He completed three games in 12 starts and threw one shutout.  
 
Gehman was 2-1 with a save in 30.2 innings (16 appearances); he held opponents to 15 earned runs on 26 hits, 14 walks, and six hit batsmen. The Cyclones top bullpen arm struck out 27 and sported a .234 BAA. Meanwhile, McCarthy had an outstanding debut season with the league's top RBI total (1st, 45). He slashed .393 (57-for-145)/.438/.566 and scored 26 runs.
 
2025 All-AEC Baseball Team: Michael Inglisa (2nd Team)Root concluded a brilliant collegiate career with another impressive two-way season. The Red and Gold captain, totaled 21 runs and 31 RBI with a .331 (42-for-127)/.443/.362 slash line. His 26 walks ranked third in the AEC. Meanwhile, on the mound, Root sported a 0-3 record with a 4.71 ERA over 57.1 innings (9app-9gs). He struck out 31 and held his opponents to a .313 BAA. 
 
DeCarlo led Gwynedd Mercy University in nearly every single offensive statistic while ranking among the AEC Top-10 in at-bats (10th, 141) and doubles (T6th, 11). He totaled 21 runs and 31 RBI on a .338 (49-for-145)/.401/.434 slash line.
 
Inglisa sported the league's best ERA with a 2.92; he allowed 12 earned runs on 32 hits, 19 walks, and eight hit batsmen over 37.0 innings pitched. He went 3-5 with three saves; the latter tied for the league lead. Inglisa also struck out 29 on a .242 BAA.
