Lewisburg, Pa. - (12/20/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University (3-7) played their final game of the 2025 portion of their schedule, traveling to Division One Bucknell University (4-7). Despite the significant uphill battle against a Patriot League opponent, the Griffins never backed down, responding with resilience and energy in the fourth quarter, where they posted 16 points, shot 50 percent from the floor, and saw multiple players step up offensively. Gwynedd Mercy also produced 22 points off the bench, showcasing depth and continued player development. Freshman forward Layla Verbit (Sellersville, Pa.) finished the contest with a team-high five points in the 102-26 loss.

- Verbit ignited the late push with five points, while junior forward Rachel Dunn (Lansdale, Pa.), sophomore guard Alexis Kanzinger (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), sophomore forward Truly Heft (Quakertown, Pa.), and freshman forward Lana Savage (Townsend, Del.) each added key scoring contributions. Veteran leader Erin Eisenhart (Bensalem, Pa.) anchored the lineup with five rebounds, two assists, and a composed presence, while sophomore guard Kailyn Bell (Ridley Park, Pa.) and junior forward Azzy Crumpton (Conshohocken, Pa.) competed hard on both ends against Bucknell's interior size.
- Defensively, sophomore guard Brianna McFadden (Fairless Hills, Pa.) provided a highlight block and helped spark the team's intensity down the stretch, while freshman guard Samadhi Kankanamalage (Union City, N.J.) and sophomore forward Peyton Attivo (Middletown, Pa.) added late production to help fuel the Griffins' closing run. Gwynedd Mercy also capitalized on opponent mistakes, turning Bucknell turnovers into eight points, and collected 21 total rebounds against a much larger Division I front court.
