(1-0). Just a batter later, Haines came up to the plate and hit his first two RBIs in the contest with a single to center field. Both Ebling and sophomore outfielder Sam Junker (Ambler, Pa.) scored bringing the lead to 3-0.

- In the third inning, freshman infielder Ryan Horner (Cinnaminson, N.J.) showed good discipline at the plate and walked, bringing home Haines (5-0). Root showed good small ball fundamentals with a sacrifice bunt scoring senior infielder Nick Price (Levittown, Pa.) (6-0). Junker would cap things off in the inning with a single through the middle of the diamond bringing home Smith and bringing the score to 7-0.
- Gwynedd Mercy would score their final eight runs in the fourth inning with two runs scoring on wild pitches, Root with an RBI single, Junker a single to shortstop, Ebling with a bases-loaded walk, and a Haines three RBI double to left field.
