true Wayne, N.J. - (12/16/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-5) traveled to William Patterson University (4-7) where ultimately the Griffins could not get a rhythm going offensively and fell to the Pioneers 68-38. The Griffins finished the contest 13-of-53 (25%) from the field and only totaled eight free-throw attempts the entire game. Junior guard Alexis Eagan (Drexel Hill, Pa.) finished with a team-high 11 points and hit half of the three-pointers (6) for the team with three. Eagan also accumulated three rebounds and three steals. 
 
Griffin Highlights:

• Gwynedd Mercy struggled to keep William Patterson to one and done offensively as they were outrebounded 52-30 allowing the Pioneers 13 second-chance points. 
• The top scorer for the Griffins senior guard Lynzie Eggers (Washington Township, N.J.) was held in check the entire game only finishing 3-of-8 (38%) from the field with 11 points. 
• Gwynedd Mercy struggled to control the ball as they were forced into 23 turnovers.
