Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (6/2/2022) – With another semester in the books, Gwynedd Mercy University Director of Athletics Keith Mondillo is pleased to announce the Griffins' academic accomplishments from the 2022 spring semester. "Our student-athletes impress us each semester with their dedication to their sport and their studies" stated Mondillo. "It is truly rewarding to see their hard work pay off and it is an honor be able to celebrate those accomplishments with them." Established earlier this school year, the Gwynedd Mercy University Academic Elite award honors student-athletes who earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher for the given semester. For the spring 2022 semester, the Griffins combined to earn a 3.17 GPA with 20 student-athletes posting individual 4.0's and 91 student-athletes garnering recognition as Gwynedd Mercy University Academic Elite.
 
The top male team GPA was recorded by the men's cross country team, who combined for a 3.32 GPA. Meanwhile, the top female team GPA belonged to women's lacrosse and their impressive 3.68 GPA. The women's lacrosse team reported four 4.0 individual GPA's and provided a department-high 12 student-athletes to the Athletic Academic Elite. All but two of the Gwynedd Mercy University's intercollegiate athletic teams earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the spring of 2022.
