Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (10/5/2026) – In partnership with the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) and the United East Conference (United East), Gwynedd Mercy University is overjoyed to take part in the first of three Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) "Officials' Appreciation Weeks". Beginning today, Monday, October 5 through Sunday, October 11, the DIIICA "Officials Appreciation Week" is a nationwide initiative to recognize and thank conference officials across all sports. "Officials' Appreciation Week" is celebrated during 2026-2027 fall, winter, and spring sport seasons with additional appreciation periods set aside for January 17–23 and April 4–10, 2027.
 
The commitment of AEC officials and referees to safe, fair, and competitive contests is a critical part of the student-athlete experience. The DIIICA "Officials' Appreciation Week" is one of numerous initiatives that are being implemented as part of the DIIICA Strategic Plan for Collegiate Officiating that was created as a result of the DIIICA's Strategic Analysis of the State of Collegiate Officiating.
