Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (11/3/2022) – On Tuesday, November 15, the rivalry adds another chapter as Gwynedd Mercy University and Arcadia University meet in the Griffin Complex for the annual Battle of 309 (6:00 p.m./8:00 p.m.). This year's meetings will feature an alumni reception in the Rotelle Lounge between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; for a cost $5, alumni/friends/guests can enjoy the women's and men's basketball games as well as various refreshments available at the reception (kids under 12 are free). Advanced registration is preferred; limited tickets can be purchased at the reception.  
Both the Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's basketball teams were victorious in the 2021-2022 edition respectively pushing their all-time records versus the Knights to 21-16 and 28-5. Senior forward Haley Crossley (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored 21 points (9-of-14, .643) and senior forward Cayla Sharkey (Lansdale, Pa.) posted her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Griffin women's 79-64 win over Arcadia University (Nov. 16, 2021). Likewise, a 26-point (10-of-15, .667) night from junior guard Aziz Parker (Westhampton, N.J.) and the first collegiate double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) for junior guard Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.) paved the way for the Griffin men to claim an 82-73 win over the Knights.
