GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- With the return of spring sports right around the corner, we'd like you to get to know our coaches this season with the introduction of our Coaching Q&A – Five Questions for Coach. First up is one of our newest members to the athletic staff,
Pete O'Hara, who will take over the reins of the Griffin Baseball Team.
- Who/What made you get into coaching?
My coaches growing up and throughout college. Sports were always a large part of my life, and my coaches had some of the biggest positive influences on me, which is something I wanted to pass along to my players.
- What is the best coaching advice you have received/learned?
Try to keep things as simple as possible and let players play. And always remember what it was like to be a player yourself.
- What is/are your favorite coaching moment(s)?
Not so much a moment but, seeing the players who worked the hardest reap the rewards. It's usually very nondescript times or moments that you see their hard work come to fruition, which is the most satisfactory feeling as a coach.
- What is your favorite sporting moment?
February 5th, 2018. The Eagles winning the Super Bowl was absolutely the greatest day of my life.
- What is your favorite tv show/movie?
My fiancé and I are huge Peaky Blinders fans. Love watching just about any sports movie.
- What do you like to do in your free time/hobbies?
We love doing anything with our dog, Zeke aka Zeke Mill, and I enjoy watching college football / college hoops on any given night.
