GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently released its list of the winningest coaches in Division III based on wins and winning percentage and head coach
Jim Holt sits in many of these in the top 10.
Holt's 240-61-1 career record puts him sixth in all-time win percentage (79.6%) and fifth among active coaches in Division III. The 240 victories puts him 22nd amid current coaches and 45th all time.
Completing his 18th season, his remarkable coaching mark includes nine conference team championships and 13-straight appearances in the conference final. His teams have also played in nine NCAA Division III Team Tournaments. Individually, he has overseen over a 100 combined all-conference players as well as a bevy of conference player and rookie of the year honorees. His coaching peers have selected him conference coach of the year numerous times and has been honored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as its Division III Middle States Regional Coach of the Year in 2009.
"Gwynedd Mercy University is honored to have Coach Holt as a member of our athletic department. He has developed many Women's tennis players on and off the court. Even though he is at the top of the list in active winningest coaches, his legacy will be as a mentor and leader." Gwynedd Mercy Athletic Director
Keith Mondillo adds.
