Gwynedd Mercy 9, Delaware Valley 0
BOX SCOREDOYLESTOWN, PA. -- The Griffins took advantage of shortened roster to go on and defeat Delaware Valley, 9-0.
Gwynedd Mercy won two singles and a double flight by forfeit and got a win by retirement.
Junior
Blaine Grisak (Havre, Mt./Havre Public) had the best match of the day, rallying from a set down to win 2-6, 6-2, 10-8 at #2 singles.
Coach
Jim Holt has liked what he has seen so far this season. "The team took out their top two players after doubles, and therefore had the line-up adjusted, and had the #3 playing first singles, and so on down. (Blaine) Grisak, "The Montana Kid" may have struggled at certain points, but the bottom line is he came up big when he needed to.....coming up big when it counted!"
The team is back in action on Tuesday when they host Baptist Bible in CSAC action starting at 4 p.m.
